Description: Compliance training - whether for health and safety, harassment, environmental regulations, financial compliance, etc. - usually forms a significant portion of an organization's training efforts. In our experience, however, this form of training is usually very poor, especially when provided via eLearning. It is often dry, not engaging, and focused on knowledge memorization, not on changing workplace behaviour
Compliance training, because it is compulsory, is often done in a perfunctory way (i.e. we have to do it, let's get it out of the way and say that we met our obligations). This is unfortunate because it leads to a focus on training completion, and not on compliance, which is the real end goal.
This webinar will focus on ways of improving your compliance training efforts to get real results.
We will be joined by two special guests. Bruce McMeekin, of Miller Thomson law firm, will help us examine the concept of reasonable care in compliance training in order to limit legal exposure. And Michael Korcuska, Vice President of Operations for ELT Inc., will assist us on a tour of one of their innovative online compliance training programs.
